I think this is a great summary, I particularly like your emphasis on being open with your emotions, it’s such a departure from waht most men are taught. I wonder however how mandatory spiritual practice is. I don’t deny that it’s super helpful and will transform someone’s like but it feels like a stretch to include it in the “what it means to be a man” category. What I’d really like to see is men own their inner spiritual power and instead of seek it through faith, discover it through confidence.

Happy Anniversary, Tom & Cher! And many joyful returns. You mentioned something I haven’t heard anyone talk about as relates to “me time”. When you wrote, “it really has very little to do with being away from them as it has more to do with being with yourself,” you invite the reader to not simply run away from their romantic relationship, but to move toward what they want, a deeper inner life.
