The Big Leap

Infinite possibilitiesThey say that human beings only use about 10% of their brain and body potential on average.   Every person has the possibility to step into a deeper potential for themselves.

Are you someone that knows you have more capability to BE more in your life but feel like your only using a fraction of your potential?  I don’t think your alone in this category.  So often we get bogged down by limiting thoughts about ourself not being good enough, thinking we don’t know how to get started, and many other limiting beliefs that we rest our potential on a bedrock of mediocrity and boredom.

Are you aware that you are not your body at all? That who you are and will always be is an eternal spiritual being that has no limits. You have no limits of time, body, or thoughts. Once you begin to realize this not only intellectually, but to live this awareness daily you can take the Big Leap into your life AS Infinite Possbilities.  In your human mind and body you will have limitations your whole life that will make sense to your mind, but in the spiritual unseen aspect of who you really are, you can create your life any way you desire. Your life as you currently see it is a reflection of your current inner world of thinking.   If Everything you currently see is based on your thoughts then start affirming the thoughts that align with the life you want and the life you really know your capable of. Stop cutting yourself short. Did you excell at a sport at one time in your life? A musical insturment or drama?  Were you really passionate about something in your life at one time that you no longer practice?  Call that dream up now and affirm that BIG THINGS ARE HAPPENING NOW.  You have taken the time away from this passion for a divine reason to prepare you to become the greatness that you are!

I played the trumpet for 8 years and as I was jogging today I remembered that there were times while playing a piece of music with a full orchestra that I would have a long break while other instruments would be still playing. This is a great metaphor for where you are now. You have been enjoying letting all the other instruments play their part and now, NOW its time for you to come back into the beautiful piece of music to play yours.

Take the Big Leap today by saying YES to your dream, your vision, AND your greatness of who you truly are! All you need to do is do ONE small thing that is in the direction of your passion. What is one thing you can do today? Then practice being consistent with doing something that is in line with your passion.

ASK AND YOU SHALL RECIEVE!

Time for a new beginning…stay committed

Consistency and Patience

Consistency and Patience

If your reading this right now I trust that this has come to you because you have attracted this into your life at this very precise time for an important reason.

Have you been wanting  a new beginning in an area of your life and it just hasn’t come yet? Maybe a new job, relationship, your house to be sold, an injury to be healed, forgiveness to be revealed??

Patience and Consistency are the key to manifestating your new beginning.  Sometimes our desires and visions are met with time-frames of what seems like is nothing moving in our life.

Your almost there….stick with it. Don’t give up. They say many  beginning business owners quit right before they start making profit. They couldn’t make it through the tough times any longer and gave into what they could see as a failing business. All they needed was to move beyond what they could currently see and have faith in what they believe. They wouldn’t have started the business to begin with if they believed it was going to fail. Don’t be one that quits right before your blessings come to you.

  • What to do while in the waiting stage….

Be consistent with your spiritual practice. This means practice your intentions by speaking the new affirmation statements daily. Make sure that your affirmation has an energitic charge to it so that when you say it to yourself it gets you excited about the new reality your creating for yourself.  Create your ideal vision for yourself first and then your affirmative statement births from there.

Meditation helps you still your constant mind chatter so that when nothing seems to be moving you can stay grounded in your faith and trust that everything is falling into its place for your desire to rush into your life.  Meditation is just the process of slowing everything down. Your body, mind, breath, and being are relaxed in the moment. Over time your “stillness” muscle will stregthen for you to be peaceful all the time with consistency.

BE YOUR DESIRE. Don’t wait for your desired reality to come to you. Be it now. If you desire to have a new job then start living with the qualities of what that new job will bring you. My guess is your new job will bring you joy, freedom, and happiness. Begin to start expressing those qualities now and your new job will fall into your lap faster than you can blink.  How can you express those qualities while your still in the job you don’t enjoy?  Begin to make a list each day of the things your grateful for. When your mentality is one of gratitude and appreciation for even the smallest things in life then it will be much easier for you to align yourself with joy, peace, and happiness.Become Your Desire

Stuck in a rut…Exhausted?

stuck in a rut dogHow do you pull yourself out of a negative mindset that overtakes your mind, body, and even leaks into your friendships?

All of us desire on some level of our being to experience peace of mind, freedom from our attachments, creativity in our profession, and authentic love in our relationships.

Keep in mind that this is not “the only way” to pull yourself out of a negative mindset, although I find that this is a very powerful way.

#1. We must  become awarewhen we have been taken over by a feeling that is not our true nature.  Are true nature is not fear, doubt, blame, shame, jealousy, or any other type of suffering.  Of course we all experience it in this lifetime so its silly to say its not real, however, I believe that we can with conscious awareness move to a place where the negative mindset becomes little to none at all!  Call out the elephant in the room, this means instead of you being shame, your being fearful, you being angry…take a deep breath and just experience the feeling, DON’T BECOME THE FEELING, rather listen to it, feel it, sit with it, write down the thoughts it is saying. When we become the negative feeling we become totally unconscious and being totally unconscious means your not able to change your current state of mind.

Imagine for just a moment that all your debt was paid, your broken relationship was forgiven and renewed, your pain in your body was healed, your fear of the future was gone, your confusion in life was calmed, your house is sold, your purpose in profession is found. Whatever your suffering is, what would it be like if that were made new? Ask yourself, what would my life be like without this extra weight I’m carrying around every day?

#2. Once we have sat with the negative feeling and become aware of it but don’t actually become it (which deep breathing is the key to this) then we can begin to move through the negative feelings and into what we truly desire for ourselves. For example, if your feeling tired and confused. Be with those feelings through deep breathing and then write down why you feel that way and what feelings you would like to have instead. Then ask yourself what thoughts would make me feel free, peaceful, joyful??  Once you have the thought written down then just like free throws in basketball, practice it over and over and over and over. Begin to program your mind which speaks to your body what you desire.

It’s important that you don’t try and move through the first step to fast. Really become aware of it AND become aware that you are no longer IT. Take your time, be easy on yourself

#3. Have a team or a person that you can rely on to know you by your Truth, not your mindful mess. Reach out to that person for support. Don’t call them to just give them your stinking thinking and want them to feel sorry for you, call them with the aim of fully sharing your current feelings and returning to your hearts desired feelings.  Ask them to pray for you. This takes courage because in our culture and society there is generally a weird energy for most people when we ask someone to pray for us or when someone else asks if they can pray for us we feel awkward. At least up until the prayer has been finished.  Let go of any of those feelings and just surrender into the moment.  Humble yourself and ask for prayer. Allow yourself to be right where you are with the aim of moving back into who you really are.

#4. Move your body! When we get ourselves in a nasty rut of thinking our body starts to freeze in the depression or anxiety. We become very tired or lazy or hungry or horny right?  Get your body into motion. Change your “E”motion with motion. Do a yoga class, a jog, a walk, exercise, bike ride. Just get your body up and move it around some.

#5. Change your thoughts, change your life. Your life is an out picture ALWAYS of the thoughts you are thinking. So practice affirming your abundance which is your birthright.  Here are a few affirmations that will begin to shift your thinking, acting, and life just by repeating over and over.

- I am willing to allow more bliss, love, and money into my life than I could imagine before.

- I have the power to heal every cell in my body.

- I am here to express total freedom.

- I am funny and people enjoy my friendship.

- What others think of me is not my concern.

- I am a loving person.

Some of the great leaders today didn’t get to where they are by luck. It took a great deal of practice, effort, and patience. But it doesn’t have to take a long time to change your thoughts. You can have any burden you have been carrying around with you disappear. It can happen in an instant!

The Power of Prayer

Prayer Partners

A few days ago a close friend of mine called me and was in a frantic mess because he was leaving the next day for Bermuda and couldn’t find his passport anywhere. He had planned this trip with his family and taken off time from work months prior and had been looking at a nice getaway vacation for some time. He said, “I always keep it in the same place and its not there!”  He had no time to get a new passport before his 5:30am flight in just a few short hours.

At this point it was clear that I had nothing to contribute myself to his anxiety. If I said things like, its gonna be alright, you’ll find it, I knew that would just get him even more irritated. :)   So in that moment I said to myself, “give it up to the all knowing, infinite Source of clarity and peace”  So I said, “hey, can I pray with you about this?”

He said yeah, (although I knew he wasn’t fully in any mindset to be thinking of praying or affirming.) He was twisting his brain in a thousand different directions trying to figure out where he had left it last.

I began praying by revealing the Truth of God which is one of Clarity, Love, and Divine Peace of mind. In this prayer I affirmed that my friends fear and doubt would be released and that in the moment he let go and let God his passport would be found. I expressed the gratitude I had for the friendship and the prayer together and released it as being already an answered prayer.

After the prayer my friend said thank you, although I could hear in his voice that he was still dreading the idea of not being able to board the plane in the morning.

Later that night I received a phone call from him in elated joy. “I found it, I found it, I found it!!!”, he said.  He then shared that he had been searching all night everywhere in his house and just as he began to give up looking he poured himself a glass of wine and then a clear thought came to him about a bag he use to carry to work that he hadn’t checked. And there it was all along.

I shared with him how all he needed to do was get out of the way (his mind) and let go of the situation. Trust!  At the moment of letting go of the worrying it was found. Doesn’t it seem like that for us in our life at times that at the moment we give up all the answers we were searching for come through??  Do you have something in your life your trying to control that you could use a little Divine assistance with?

I have to be honest that this answered prayer was a confidence builder in my prayer life and a great lesson for me that when I’m walking in the unknown direction in my life to surrendor my own fear and control and to Trust that it is all in divine plan.

If it doesn’t work fix it…

FreedomRecently I have been noticing that all of my golf clients have in someway conditioned themselves to hit the ball in one direction but their stance is lined up in a completely different direction. Why would anyone aim somewhere you don’t want to hit and hope it goes where you want it??

After working with these people I would soon discover that they were use to hitting it way right or way left so to compensate for their normal shot they would overcompensate their stance. Its like fixing a water leak with duct tape right?  So I would have them change their stance and swing and they would be shocked how straight and great the ball goes. Then after a few attempts of the new swing the old conditioned swing starts creeping back in and they begin to aim in no man’s land.

Same thing but different topic, I own a blackberry phone and pay insurance on the phone. However, for over 5 months my scroll button wouldn’t scroll up so in order to scroll up on my messages or phone book I found a way by locking the key pad and then unlocking it which put it back to the top. For 5 MONTHS I worked like this until yesterday I went into the Sprint store and had them look at it. Guess what….They fixed it in 2 minutes with no charge to me. LOL…..

We are born to live a life coming from love, peace, joy, freedom. To be balanced in our mind, body, and spirit. However, as children we get hurt, abandoned, betrayed, taken advantaged of, or any negative feeling and we begin to live in ways that get us what we want “sometimes” but use much more effort than we actually need to.

In order to get our life back to the place of which we came from we need to first become aware of what habits we have that keep us struggling.  Do you have something in your house that is broke but you’ve found a way to work around it?  What about your body? Your mind?  Do you have negative thoughts about yourself or others?

In order to attract a balanced life we must start to re-program our mind, body, and spirit over and over and over until it gets the picture!  Same with golf or parenting, or spiritual practice, or anything. Affirm to yourself over and over the Truth that you are here to live a joy-filled life all the time. You don’t have to suffer any longer!!!

The Unexpected Challenges

Often times we don’t even see it coming. Its like the car that jumps out at us on the road or the horror of losing a family member unexpectedly.

Inevitably, obstacles arise throughout our life at all stages. Whether it be a loss of a family member in physical form, a relationship ending, a job loss or pay cut, or the loss of a part of our health.  There are so many flavors of obstacles to choose from that its like a kid at the toy factory trying to just pick one. Except were not picking it….Or Are We???

In our life we don’t have control of the external world that surrounds us, but we do however have the free choice to choose who we are and what thoughts we think as a result of those obstacles.

Recently I have had a couple people enter into my life that built up trust over a period of time of knowing these people and after time passed I was very badly taken advantaged of and mis-treated. The pain that I felt as a result of these relationships was immense, however at the end of the pain I asked myself, Who Am I in the face of chaos?

Once you begin to realize you have total control and the choice to choose peace and love over pain and suffering you begin to feel the power of “winning”.  I don’t refer to winning as the cliche of winning v.s. losing, but the simple fact is when we all achieve something we experience a feeling of self-acknowledgement and confidence. The more you begin to sit with your feelings of pain but not let them overcome you and become YOU, the more you will encounter what it really means to be a leader and the change you wish to see in the world.

So if your experiencing pain and suffering as your reading this, don’t deny it and act as if it doesn’t exist because it will keep at you. “What you resist, persists.”  Instead, embrace or simply acknowledge the feelings you have, maybe grab a journal and write these feelings down and then simple affirm to yourself, “I am powerfully choosing peace now.” And keep affirming that over and over until it becomes not just words but an actual feeling, an actual experience.

Many blessings to you…

Mind, Body, and Spirit

I recently got back from China last week and it seems that each trip away I’m always learning something profound and never expected which is probably why its so profound to me.

I realized this trip more than just intellectually but actually experientially the importance to have balance between mind, body, and spirit. So many people are trying to get their ideal career figured out or find their divine lover, in fact I have been one of those seekers for over 4 years and also a coach helping others find that, but without the inner balance of mind, body, spirit none of that matters.

I’m not saying that spending time aligning yourself with your highest passion or affirming your intended life, but so many people can accomplish finding a new career or a new partner with great ease, however finding inner balance not just occasionally but where it becomes your way of living each moment of each day.

Where your body is getting the stretching, exercise, and healthy foods. Where you are aware that you are not your thoughts and not letting your thoughts run your life but you being the observer of your thoughts and choose to live each day with grace and joy. And where your spiritual divinity is connected with meditation, prayer, and giving of your compassion and service to others at all times.

These are just a few things that go into these three areas but if we were to all focus on getting peace and balance in these areas then the rest of our life would just naturally flow.

Say your scared about not making enough money….are you more likely to attract that money staying tense, scared, and in fear…OR….are you more likely to attract the money if your taking care of yourself mentally, physically, and spiritually?

Don’t let your finances be an excuse for taking care of your body. We were designed to be in balance and its our beliefs systems that get us away from our naturally place.

So spend some time in this moment asking yourself, what would bring me joy and happiness now? And now ACT!
