I often come across many people that are not happy about some part of their life. Either their job, relationship, health of their body, and even their Spiritual life. Many people say that this lack of happiness or purpose in their life leads to boredom, unhappiness, or even confusion and fear.
I have to admit that their are times on my journey that my mind try’s to tell me that I need something else outside of myself to be “more” happy. To be “more” connected with life.
I write this to all my current and future viewers that from this point on the writings will start to get much deeper, personal, and intense.
So many of us have it made up in our minds that having a balanced life should be easy. And yet we just can’t seen to implement it into our life. The problem with this is, that having a balanced life in all areas takes Presence, Care, Discipline, and a committed heart.
Within each of our human bodies lies an invisible presence that is the infinite part of who we truly are and many of us have lost sight and are out of touch with this presence. Our Soul. The Soul is the only REAL part of you. The Soul is what needs to be tended, nurtured, and listened to.
Have you found yourself having one of the greatest weeks with love, happiness, and balance flowing through your life and then all of a sudden you wake up one day and feel “totally” disconnected?? Where it feels like you are all alone, not happy, and possibly even extremely bored? In this place is where many of us so often turn to eating lots of food by ourselves, masturbating to fulfill an emptiness, calling an ex-lover who we know is not healthy for us, especially in this state of mind. Have you ever experienced this?
In this place it so often feels like nothing can get us back to that happy, laughing Self that we want to be in. In fact, most of the time we throw in the towel and just say, “today I don’t give a shit.” Am I right?
When we are in this state of mind, naturally the first thought is, “how can I get out of this?” But what most of us have lost touch with is the relationship with our Soul. What is your Soul trying to ask or tell you when you get in this mind set? Do you want to go through the rest of your life having these “OFF” days? Or, do you want to start growing a deep, intimate, personal relationship with your Soul that will allow you to embrace why your Ego (mind) is pulling you into this dark, nasty place?
Caring for the Soul first starts with being aware that you are not your body or your mind. That the very essence of you, that is eternal, is your Soul, and you (your Soul) has chosen this life to evolve and become the doorway which God flows through.
I might ask you, how do you care for your Soul? Caring for the Soul can be a very personal thing. A few examples of this may look like making yourself a nice romantic dinner with candles in silence, taking a nice bath, picking up trash in your community and not telling anyone, donating clothes to people who don’t have the financial means to buy new clothes, or taking a nice relaxing walk around your home.
There are many ways in which you can begin to start a relationship with your Soul. The most important thing to remember is that just like any relationship in your life, you must continue to listen and take care of it.
If you stop calling your friends, after a long time what will happen? They will stop calling you or think that your not interested in being their friend, right? The Soul will always call on us, but we must listen.
Ways to listen, the most important is to Meditate. Sit down for at least 10-20 minutes a day in silence and relax. The whole point is to just SLOW your mind down and relax.
Eating and sleeping are a must for the body to survive, and meditating is a must for your relationship with your Soul to survive. Your Soul is what connects you with the wonder and mystery of life. Take some time to write a note to yourself or do something special AND most importantly, begin to implement this into your life forever. Unconditionally love yourself!!!
If you are angry, sad, bored, confused, or any other feeling. Take a moment to realize that you are HERE, no where else and start taking long deep slow breaths, and if you have to, force yourself to be creative in doing something for yourself. Keep in mind, its not WHAT you do for yourself that matters, its HOW you do it. Put your attention and energy on LOVE for yourself, JOY for yourself, PEACE for yourself. And watch as others that want this same positive lifestyle begin to come in your life as guides and great friends.
This is finding the Independence and alone space that we all so desperately need.
Until next time, I hope you are enjoying the readings….

I have enjoyed reading some of your blog. I just happened upon it scrolling through wordpress. If you were to replace the word Soul with God himself than I would say you are right on. I have those “off” days and find that when I am not in tune with the Holy Spirit, and I have neglected to include the Lord in my day that is what causes me to be out of balance. The Holy Spirit and God himself is the only provider of substantial food for the soul through a one on one relationship with Him. You are almost there, keep writing, I enjoy your blog.
Hi Maura,
I’m glad you are finding my reading worth while. I would like to ask if you could look at this from a different perspective for a moment. If not, then I honor your path just as you are.
Imagine a world where no one argued or killed eachother over the name of God. No one tried to put a name to God or a gender or there own idea’s of who God is. Imagine a world rather just living in the presence of God in each moment.
I do get the thought of changing Soul to God, but as your consciousness deepens you will begin to realize that they are one in the same. The “Soul” is an individualized expression of God. Currently, many people still live in a world of separation. Where they are separate from God, as if God is somewhere high in the North….but when you read any Holy scripture we will realize that all the great teachers have taught us of our Oneness with God.
It’s like God is the ocean and you are a drop of the ocean. When you take the drop out of the ocean by itself, the drop still has all the same make-up as the ocean. You are the presence of God right now.
Now, the problem is when people’s Ego takes that idea and run’s with it. We then have people becoming controlling and using there power in an arrogant way.
When we truly recognize our Oneness with God, we see that it doesn’t matter the name we call it, or it doesn’t matter if someone chooses to have different beliefs.
No matter how far you feel you are from God, you are always God right now. Your mind (which is not who you truly are) might tell you other wise, but you are always the Love that God is. And the person sitting across from you always is that very same thing, no matter what religion, race, or belief.
What are your thoughts on this concept?
