Today I treated myself to a professional massage. I find that in my meditation practice and stretching I can’t move my body as I wished it could. It always helps to stretch for 10-15 minutes before meditation just to get your energy moving and I find that my hips have been tight and painful when I move in different ways. I try to think back at the age when I was like a little noodle as a kid where I could practically put my feet over my head with no problems at all. Oh those were the days….
Now, getting older and my body not being as youthful as it was its important for me to continue to do some running, weight lifting, and also to get a massage at least once a month. This is an opportunity for me to say, “You’ve earned it!” It’s also very important to continue putting foods in my body that have a high level vibration of energy such as fruits and veggies. Yumm….Your body is able to break these down much faster and not hold them in your stomach for long periods of time which allows you to be more flexible and have more energy to go deeper in your meditation.

Goal for the month is to find a massage therapist that you feel comfortable with and just allow him/her to work on the areas that need it the most no matter where on your body that is. Set some time for yourself to just love yourself!
